Tom Gooden
Tom's keen design sense was ignited by years of intense steam train scrutiny when he was a child in Australia. The form, construction, and engineering of the magnificent 520 left an indelible mark on Tom's sensibilities. He was captivated by the unity of design and function, and we think this is what led him eventually to the industrial design program at the Rhode Island School of Design. After graduation, Tom took a position as a concept designer at Lucasfilm Ltd., where he refined his product development skills and inventive approach to projects.
In 1992, Tom created Good Dog Design, and began to apply his experience to multimedia applications. Although his focus is on concept development and visual design, the look of things has never been enough for Tom. He uses his technical proficiency, creative management, and vision to make projects work. All this without ever forgetting his motto: good design never has a bad sense of humor.
In September 1997, Tom and Laura got married and are now known as "husband and wife"
When he's not creating stunning work that has never won a single award, Tom can be found digging in the garden for a good beer.
