MCF Giving Center
Web App UX Redesign
Rethinking and redesigning an application at the core of MCF
Over two years, Good Dog worked tirelessly with the MCF stakeholders to meticulously define, document, and redesign the Giving Center. Good Dog's UX team tested assumptions throughout the process, diagramed user flows, and built prototypes to gather user feedback.
MCF is a Bay Area leader in promoting and managing philanthropic contributions. MCF provides professional, thoughtful, and timely services to all donors. However, their dated Giving Center experience wasn't providing donors with a high-quality user experience.
Research + User Testing
Using a combination of donor surveys, interviews, and feedback from the discovery, Good Dog updated the user profiles and defined new design principles.
User Experience and Visual Design
The user experience and visual design leveraged previous UX and visual designs created during an initial light-touch refresh project. New user flows were created for the final design, and a complete design system was developed to guide the Giving Center's future updates.
Prototyping
To test design concepts and gather user feedback, a range of prototypes were developed to guide the design process and inform key functionality.
Admin / Dashboard Design
A new backend system was defined ad simplified to provide a more intuitive user experience for MCF & Finance staff.
